After Sophie, Ben and Amelie met at the Richmond Music trust band it course, they didn't initially form Tipsy Moths despite getting on well and sharing musical interests. Instead, they parted ways for a few months giving Sophie time to meet Dylan in her previous band Drop and Run. As time passed, they realised they wanted to start a new project and so Tipsy Moths was born. Rehearsing at Heatham House Youth Centre, they learnt songs by the Dead Kennedys, White Stripes, Nine Inch Nails and more as well as combining their influences to write original songs. Now Tipsy Moths has three originals in their repetoir with a polished live show performed at historic venues such as The Half Moon in Putney and Ram Jam Records. They are currently working on recording their songs, reaching a wider audience and performing more gigs.
